Maine - July 2026

My youngest, Ryan, started high school this year. 60 volunteer hours are required for graduation, and I suggested we go volunteer at Audubon's Hog Island Camp for a week. If you travel all the way to Maine, you've gotta make a stop at Acadia National Park! Ryan and I had a great time and were lucky to visit both Petit Manan and Eastern Egg Rock to observe nesting seabirds. This was the first time I saw a Razorbill, and it immediately became my favorite seabird! Ryan also enjoyed taking some photos as you will see below & she completed 40 volunteer hours! Successful trip!
